The scenes of getting water from far off places and sometimes pray for a leak in the municipal pipeline are quite common in rural areas and water one of the main causes for migration.
In cities we encounter people washing cars or the porch of a house/restaurant with a water hose and more than not the person hosing it would be the migrant while the owners sit comfortably in their living rooms.
Couple of questions to ask would be, are the migrant workers aware that this kind of wastage of water that forced them out of their home? And the owners who have access to all the media not aware about the scarcity of water?
How are these two sets of people to be educated? What do you think is the way forward?
