Vantamamidi is a small village in Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh. Situated along the Eastern Ghat belt, the village is at an elevation of 792 metres. Despite being surrounded by streams, Vantamamidi faces severe water scarcity because of its location on the upper side of the stream. The village has a population of 250 people within 71 households, but the Vantamamidi community consumes only 195 litres per day which is 85 litres less than an average family in India.
